Osun State University (UNIOSUN) is a public institution established by the law of the State House of Assembly. UNIOSUN is a prominent state-funded public university in Nigeria. Established on December 21, 2006, by the Osun State Government under the administration of Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, to meet the growing demand for qualitative higher education in Southwestern Nigeria. What truly sets UNIOSUN apart from many other state universities in Nigeria is its highly structured multi-campus, collegiate system and its track record of a remarkably stable academic calendar.
The university operates seven academic colleges offering a wide array of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional degrees. In line with its motto, “Living Spring of Knowledge and Culture,” UNIOSUN places heavy emphasis on entrepreneurship and ICT integration. The Faculty of Engineering and Environmental Sciences is one of the faculties in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology of Osun State University, Osogbo which was established in 2007.
