4th International Conference on Engineering and Environmental Sciences/Symposium on Sustainable Construction Materials and Structures in Africa (ICEES/SSCMS – 2026)

THEME: Innovations in Sustainable Construction Materials and Structural Systems for Rapid Urbanisation in Africa.

The 4^th International Conference on Engineering and Environmental Sciences (ICEES) will be held in conjunction with the Symposium on Sustainable Construction Materials and Structures in Africa (SSCMS) in Olagunsoye Oyinlola Auditorium, Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria, from 24 to 26 November, 2026. The conference is supported by RILEM through the prestigious RILEM Africa Event Facilitation Grant, awarded to strengthen scientific collaboration, promote knowledge exchange, and increase regional engagement in construction materials, structural engineering, and sustainable infrastructure across Sub-Saharan Africa.

ICEES/SSCMS 2026 will bring together researchers, academics, engineers, architects, environmental scientists, policymakers, industry professionals, and postgraduate students from Africa and around the world to exchange cutting-edge research, innovative technologies, and best practices. Through keynote lectures, technical sessions, panel discussions, workshops, poster presentations, and student competitions, the conference will provide a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration while fostering stronger links with the global research community.

The conference seeks to accelerate the development and adoption of sustainable construction materials, smart infrastructure, climate-resilient engineering solutions, renewable energy technologies, artificial intelligence applications, and environmentally responsible urban development strategies that will contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and supporting Africa’s rapidly growing cities.
